More Nativities and Old Bamberger Display

7th Annual Christmas Nativity

Here are some fun pictures that I took at our 7th Annual Christmas Celebration on November 27 & 28. The concerts were wonderful, the Nativities were beautiful as were the wall hangings and pictures. Even the children had a good time coloring their story books about Jesus' birth, and dressing up and being able to part of the manger scene. I enjoyed the 2 1/2 hours I spent there. I hope you enjoy the pictures I took.

7th Annual Christmas Nativity

I've had a busy month and since our community Christmas Nativity is coming up and I am in charge of advertising, I thought what better way to advertise than to put my flyer on my blog.

Undaunted

On Friday October 23rd, I had the opportunity to attend the ISDUP Convention in Salt Lake City. It was awsome. Gerald Lund was the guest speaker and of course he talked about his new book "The Undaunted". He also showed a slide presentation. As good as the book was, he made it come alive even more when he talked about the some of the highlights of the pioneers and what they went through. Even though I have a lot of pioneer ancestors, I don't know if I would have been as faithful and "Undaunted" as they were. Gerald Lund also signed books for those who were willing to stand in a very long line. I lucked out and was number 6 in line and got my book signed. I took his picture while he was signing books.

Wyoming and Back

In need of a get away, we left Friday and headed for Wyoming. Along the way as you will see in the photos below, we looked for DUP markers and sites and then went to Fort Bridger. The first picture is the inside of a covered wagon. They are very small inside. The next picture is the outside of Fort Bridger. I took pictures of the inside, but didn't post them. There is a picture of the school house at Fort Bridger that has a DUP marker next to it. You mainly see the marker. The cabin picture was taken in Morgan, Utah. It is marker #19. The Daughters of Utah Pioneers have about 534 markers in several locations in several states. I am hoping that our Davis Kaysville Company will be able to get a marker put up. We are working on it, but they are not easy to get.

We stayed over night in Evanston, Wyoming, and then had lunch their on Saturday at Chadders before we left to come home. It was a nice quick trip.

Art Work

Our sweet Tyler grandchildren sent us some art work and notes on grandparents day. I have them hanging on my door so I can look at them.
